During law school, Jalese clerked for a Detroit law firm, working on a variety of matters including insurance coverage, medical malpractice and first- and third-party auto claims. She then joined a law firm as an associate, defending clients in criminal matters and handling a variety of civil matters.
Jalese went on to become an assistant prosecutor for Wayne County, sharpening her skills as a courtroom prosecutor in the General Trials Division. As a prosecutor, she obtained over 20 guilty verdicts in less than two years, while gaining invaluable trial experience. Jalese’s stint as a prosecutor also allowed her to strengthen her research and writing, discovery, motion practice and litigation talents. Jalese is comfortable in the courtroom and effective when advocating for clients involving a wide variety of issues.
Outside the office, Jalese enjoys boxing, lifting, golf and music. She has a lifetime passion for the game of soccer. She grew up playing competitive travel soccer for the Michigan Hawks, trained in the Olympic Development Program, and went on to compete at the collegiate level.
