Kellie L. McGuire

Being passionate about reading, writing, and research made choosing the field of law a natural progression for Kellie McGuire. As an associate in our Insurance Defense Group, Kellie strives to put her best foot forward to achieve beneficial results and be an educated advocate for her clients.

Growing up in St. Clair Shores, Kellie’s interest in pursuing a career in the legal field was piqued at her first job at a criminal defense law firm as an office assistant. Kellie went to Oakland University for her undergraduate degree, and while there, became interested in psychology. While working in the Post-traumatic Growth research lab there, she attended a conference in Washington D.C. where she came across books on how theories of psychology and the law intertwined. This finding reignited Kellie’s interest in the legal field and altered her planned path. Kellie decided to take a few years off from school and put time in with corporate America before attending Cooley Law School.
