He prides himself on educating his clients to help them understand each step throughout the legal process. During his first week at Michigan State University, Matt knew he wanted a career that would enable him to help people. An exceptional student, Matt was a Trustee Scholar and graduated cum laude at Michigan State University College of Law.
During law school, Matt served as the Student Bar Association Internal Affairs Committee Chair and worked as a Teaching Assistant, where he shared his love of the law with a personal approach by educating and assisting fellow law students.
Throughout his education and his early career, Matt has embraced his desire to help others fears. He honed his advocacy and communication skills while working as a Student Attorney with the MSU Housing Law Clinic, and during his time as a Law Clerk. Before joining Zausmer, Matt practiced personal injury law at a smaller firm and found his stride in the courtroom, litigating cases involving no-fault and negligence claims, as well as contractual disputes.
With each new client, Matt first does his research and learns all of the facts of the case down to the smallest detail. Matt takes pride in making his clients feel comfortable and knowledgeable with the entire legal process, explaining each step and managing their expectations along the way.
Outside of the office, Matt is a fervent Michigan State fan. He is also an avid baseball fan and remains loyal to his hometown roots, rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
