Verelle H. Kirkwood

Verelle Kirkwood draws on his solid military foundation and core values when representing his clients. An associate in the firm’s Insurance Defense group, Verelle uses ingenuity to develop litigation strategies for his clients.

Studying abroad in Costa Rica gave Verelle a unique education and cultural experience that changed the way he saw the world. He was inspired to join the Military as a paralegal for the JAG Corps and continues to serve as an attorney and First Lieutenant. His practice in the JAG Corps mainly involves Army contracts and fiscal law, but also includes criminal and fiscal investigations, motion drafting, oral argument and trial by court-martial.

At Zausmer, Verelle focuses on automobile negligence and no-fault actions.  He is competitive by nature but has a strong desire to help others.  He prides himself on being personable, trustworthy, and competent, which allows him to easily connect with his clients to provide sound litigation advice.   Whether serving our country or his clients, Verelle has these constants: honor, mastery of the law, and principled counseling.
