Marsha has successfully defended clients against property damage, product liability, and personal injury claims. She has also represented hotels in premises liability actions, including claims for negligent security. Before joining Zausmer, Marsha was a partner with a national insurance defense firm, as well as an analyst in the Toxic Tort Department of a major insurance company. There, she was considered an expert in the area of lead paint law and defended matters against some of the top law firms in both downstate and upstate New York. She has extensive experience in defending against the intricacies claimed in such cases, including brain damage and its sequela from neurologic and neuropathologic perspectives. Her proficiency in early assessment of liability and damages has resulted in reaching nominal settlements in early stages of litigation. Marsha was also a contributor to The Lawyer’s Guide to Lead Paint, Asbestos and Chinese Drywall.

Marsha is admitted to practice law in Michigan, New York, and Massachusetts. She has briefed and argued appeals in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and in District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of New York and the First, Second, and Fourth Departments of New York’s Appellate Divisions.

Marsha received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Michigan State University and her law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
