Sydney Lankford pairs strong legal writing with a practical approach to litigation to help clients understand the process and build strategies that serve their goals.
Sydney’s path to practicing law began with an interest in criminal justice and a goal of becoming a police officer. Working as a law clerk, she spent time reviewing deposition transcripts and court filings. That experience shifted her focus from observing legal disputes to helping resolve them. She prepared for law school while working full time, earned her Juris Doctor from Cooley Law School, and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2025.
In her insurance defense practice, Sydney approaches each matter by identifying the issues at the center of the dispute, analyzing the record, and developing strategies that align with the client’s objectives. She values communication that keeps clients informed and replaces legal terms with plain language whenever possible. By building genuine connections with clients, she helps them move through litigation with a clear understanding of the process.
