After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University, Elena attended Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where she was an Honors Scholarship recipient. While in law school, she was actively involved in trial competitions and successfully served as a member of the National Moot Court Team and National Mock Trial Team. After earning her law degree magna cum laude, Elena worked for a large Metro Detroit law firm, where she was entrusted with handling multimillion-dollar cases; successfully argued dozens of dispositive and other pre-trial motions; conducted and defended countless depositions; and gained significant experience serving as first-chair or second-chair at several trials.

Elena brings a knowledgeable background in defense litigation to Zausmer’s experienced team. No matter how document-intensive a case may be, Elena prides herself on learning the intricate details and finding the needle in the haystack that will help her client prevail. Her keen ability to think quickly under pressure gives her an advantage in the courtroom and beyond.

In her spare time, Elena enjoys portrait photography and loves traveling to and exploring new destinations, experiencing new cuisine in downtown Detroit, and attending the latest theater or comedy show. Elena’s passion for culture and knowledge enhances her ability to successfully represent her clients and maneuver any legal obstacle she may encounter.
