Keith Reid is known for his strong writing, sound judgment, and ability to guide complex insurance claims to resolution through clear analysis and practical litigation strategy.
Keith’s legal career is defined by adaptability, depth of knowledge, and an ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, persuasive arguments. As part of Zausmer’s Insurance Defense team, Keith draws on more than a decade of civil litigation experience, including extensive work in real estate disputes, mortgage servicing, bankruptcy, and contract litigation. He approaches each case with a practical mindset, shaped by years of working on both sides of disputes across state and federal courts in Michigan.
Before joining Zausmer, Keith handled high-volume foreclosure actions, negotiated contested mortgage and banking matters, and advocated for clients in state court disputes. He also represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury cases, giving him a balanced perspective when preparing a defense strategy. Known for his writing ability, Keith is often entrusted with cases involving complex motions or challenging legal issues. Colleagues rely on him to frame arguments that are both technically sound and accessible to the court.
Keith earned his law degree from Rutgers School of Law after completing a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Michigan. He is admitted to practice in all Michigan state courts, as well as the Eastern and Western U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts.
Keith is an active reader and a regular at his local movie theater. He participates in a graphic novel book club and enjoys weekly bar trivia with friends.
