Daniel I. Jedell

Daniel I. Jedell has a proven track record of success defending businesses and professionals in high-stakes civil litigation matters, including fire and explosion, wrongful death, complex torts, professional negligence, and employment claims and commercial disputes, both at the trial level and before appellate courts.

Dan handles cases that often hinge on complex medical, engineering, and scientific subjects, and frequently involve excess exposure. His ability to interpret intricate issues, develop creative strategies, and persuasively present the facts and law in ways that judges and juries understand accounts for the impressive results he consistently delivers for his clients. Dan’s reputation for tenacious advocacy and strong work ethic has earned him repeat honors as a Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since 2015.

Prior to joining Zausmer, Dan cultivated his litigation practice in New York City, where he defended hospitals, doctors, and corporations in medical malpractice, toxic tort, and products liability cases in state and federal court. Among his many successes, following a two-week jury trial, Dan secured the dismissal of a high six-figure award for medical malpractice by demonstrating that the plaintiff’s expert failed to establish that the defendant surgeon deviated from the standard of care during a laparoscopic surgical procedure.
