As a member of the firm’s Insurance Coverage and Insurance Defense practice groups, Liz Rumery handles a busy docket of no-fault automobile cases, representing insurers and their insured in all stages of litigation.

With so few cases actually going to trial, motion practice has become an especially critical component in litigation, and Liz is particularly effective with motions for summary disposition and summary judgment, boasting an impressive track record for convincing judges to dismiss claims made against her clients.

Securing successful outcomes also requires conducting extensive research to discredit a plaintiff’s claims, and Liz utilizes her keen detective skills to make sure than no stone goes unturned.  Because of society’s increasing online migration, Liz dives deep into the Internet, Facebook, and other social media profiles and posts to reveal serious flaws in a plaintiff’s case, and on more than one occasion, her investigation has produced incontrovertible evidence disproving the plaintiff’s allegations entirely.

Liz earned her undergraduate and law degrees from Michigan State University, and is admitted to practice in both Michigan and Illinois.  In 2015, she was named as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, an esteemed honor based upon the recognition of her peers.
