Mischa Boardman Honored Among Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s “Women in the Law”

Each year, Michigan Lawyers Weekly recognizes the women lawyers who are inspiring and accomplished leaders in the profession, committed to excellence in the practice of law, serve as a mentors to other women, and contribute significant time and effort to volunteerism and pro bono activities.

Today, the publication has named Zausmer shareholder Mischa Boardman to its 2015 class of “Women in the Law.

Mischa concentrates her practice on eminent domain matters, and her solid management and advocacy skills, as well as her reputation for results, has resulted in a lead role on the land acquisition team for ITC Holdings, the nation’s largest independent electric transmission company.  Even today, there are very few women in the eminent domain field, evidenced by the fact that she was the only female on the faculty at a recent ICLE program on the topic.

At the firm, Mischa spearheads our marketing efforts, oversees the associate development program she initiated, and actively promotes and spotlights her female colleagues for new matters, assignments, and opportunities.  She has also been an enthusiastic panelist for women’s networking events at Michigan State, and is a charter member of the MSU College of Social Science Consortium on Female Leadership, an organization that allows her to mentor future women leaders.

Equal to Mischa’s commitment to her clients, colleagues, and community is her dedication to her family, all of which she has managed successfully while enjoying a rewarding career.

Congratulations, Mischa, on a well deserved honor!
