Mischa Boardman and ITC Holdings Corp.’s Jenny D’Anna Present at IRWA Ohio Chapter’s 2018 Utility Day Seminar

Zausmer’s Mischa M. Boardman and ITC Holdings Corp.’s Senior Counsel Jenny K. D’Anna spoke at the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) Buckeye Chapter’s Utility Day Seminar in Plain City, Ohio, on January 9, 2018.

Presenting on “Acquiring the Necessary Rights for ITC’s ‘Thumb Loop’ Transmission Line,” Mischa and Jenny provided an overview of the ITC project and the intricacies involved in acquiring the rights necessary for the transmission line. The Thumb Loop high-voltage transmission project provides a high capacity transmission line designed to meet the maximum wind potential of the Thumb Loop region. ITC Holdings, the nation’s largest independent electricity transmission company, invested an estimated $510 million to build the 345,000-volt (345 kV) line. The company estimates that the project had a direct impact of $366 million to the Michigan economy, including employment of local contractors, vendors, and suppliers. Zausmer is pleased to have assisted ITC Holdings in its efforts toward completing the Thumb Loop project.

IRWA is an organization comprised of global infrastructure real estate practitioners.
