Zausmer Attorneys Mentor Detroit Youth in Michigan Law Day Activities

May 12th marked Law Day 2016, a national event held each year since 1958 to celebrate the role of law in our society and to cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal profession.

To help promote Michigan Law Day, Zausmer attorneys Andrea Johnson and April Moore offered insight and guidance to a group of more than 300 Detroit public high school students visiting the Wayne County Circuit Court.

Students started the day with welcoming remarks from Chief Judge Robert Colombo and Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy. They then toured the courthouse, learned about careers in the law, and participated in mock oral arguments and attended a luncheon with judges and attorney mentors, including our six lawyers and other volunteers.

Zausmer is proud to support our city and its youth, and to help everyone understand and appreciate our legal system.
